Located in the state of Bahia, the city of Canudos is a place of great potential and challenges, constantly seeking development and improvement in the quality of life of its inhabitants. With a Human Development Index (HDI) of 0.562, the city ranks 5267th in the national development ranking, among 5,570 Brazilian municipalities.

Canudos has been working to improve its urban infrastructure, aiming to provide better living conditions for its population.
