Arara, a city located in the interior of Paraíba, is an example of a municipality that has worked to provide quality urban infrastructure for its inhabitants. Despite being located in a semi-arid region, the city has basic services, such as water supply, electricity, telephone service and internet access, allowing its residents to have a comfortable life connected to the world.

Quality of Life

With a Human Development Index (HDI) of 0.548, Arara still has a long way to go to reach the most developed cities in the country. However, the municipality has worked to improve the quality of life of its inhabitants, investing in areas such as education, health and leisure. The GDP per capita of R$ 9,000, although modest, demonstrates the potential of the local economy.
