Located in the state of Paraíba, the city of Borborema stands out for its urban infrastructure. Despite being a small-sized city, its administration has made efforts to provide its inhabitants with a quality urban environment with dignity. With a Human Development Index (HDI) of 0.558, Borborema ranks 4,958th in the national development ranking among the 5,570 municipalities in Brazil. Although the index is not among the highest, the city has demonstrated continuous efforts to improve the quality of life of its inhabitants.
